  • ‘Small Town Hearts’ Blog Tour: Recipe!

The official banner for the blog tour was designed by Mana!   Welcome back to my little corner of the book bloggersphere! I’ve been off listening to audiobooks, attempting to catch up on ARCs (when my eyes allow), and baking up a storm in the kitchen! I had the honor of receiving an ARC of Small Town Hearts from Lillie Vale when she reached out on twitter for bi readers/reviewers. Then, the wonderful Lili @ Utopia State of Mind invited me to participate in this Blog Tour for STH and I’m so excited to share my post with you today! Every time I pick up Small Town Hearts, I’m transported…

  • Is It Spring Break Yet?!

Hello lovelies! I wanted to drop a quick note to let you know I’ll be taking a little blog posting break this week. I thought I would just take the weekend off, but it turns out I need a little bit more time. If you’re curious as to where this is coming from, feel free to check out my guest post on Jenniely.com.     I plan to keep up with some blog hopping as I’m able!     I’ll be back posting next week, including a little surprise! I’m considering some blog changes, starting with replacing my weekend update and monthly recap posts with a quarterly? I used to…

  • Television Tag

Welcome to Tag Thursday! I’m really excited to share my answers with you from the Television Tag, created by Kayley Hyde on YouTube! Growing up, my sister and I loved doing everything together. (Can you tell I’m the younger sister? 😂) One thing we both always looked forward to was waking up early on Saturday mornings with a bowl of cereal to watch cartoons. And of course, this tradition sparked my love for TV shows!!   Thank you, Demetra @ Demi Reads for tagging me!! 💕     1. What is your favorite television show?   This question is just as impossible as What is your favorite book? *Wow, those crickets are deafening!*…

  • Monstrous March TBR

‘Monstrous March’ is part of ‘Devour Your TBR’   A monthly themed reading challenge to reduce that mountainous pile of unread gems, without all of the stress.   Hosted by Kathy @ Books and Munches   Hello, my name is Ashley, and I ignore any TBR list I make for myself. 😂 The only fantasy I started in Feb was Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets… which was NOT even on my Fantastic February TBR, instead it was part of the Potterhead Readalong. At least I’m able to overlap challenges, so here we are! Now for ‘Monstrous’ March: I decided to go with horrors rather than tomes! 💀 I…

  • Top 10 Tuesday: “Oh, The Places You’ll Go!”

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.     Welcome to this week’s Top 10 Tuesday: “Oh, The Places You’ll Go!” a.k.a. places I’d love to visit one day, that also happen to be mentioned (or created) in books. When I started to jot down a note about this TTT post, I couldn’t stop! I narrowed it down for this so we’re not here all week, as I know you have many…

  • February Book Haul

It’s that time again for a ‘Book Haul’ update! This post will be short and sweet as I usually don’t haul many books on a monthly basis. I’m trying out Scribd audiobooks (I’ll let you know how that’s going in a bit!); I’m always checking out materials from my library; I’m working on sticking to my ARC request ban (until I catch up—famous last words!); and well, I don’t own many books in the first place. Regardless, it’s still fun to share in the book haul love! I suppose I could do a library loot post, but those books end up on my currently reading shelf right away, so maybe…

Welcome back to my ‘weekend update’ post!   Inspired by my love of formal afternoon tea where all the catching-ups, gossips, and giggles are had. • 50 Things That Make Me Happy Tag

Welcome to Tag Thursday! While I couldn’t find the original post, I found out that this tag is popular across various blogging communities. (Whoa, you mean there are blogs beyond our bookish world?! 😉) Since I am a book blogger, I considered making a list of only book-related happinesses, but decided to venture out and make a general list so you can get to know snippets of me irl! The list is in no particular order, but I decided to split it into categories for fun.   Thank you, Gin @ The Sassy Library Fox for tagging me!! 💕     ~ Bookish ~   1. Bookstores 2. Libraries 3. • Top 10 Tuesday: Underhyped Books

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.     Welcome to this week’s Top 10 Tuesday: Underhyped Books! It’s no suprise that I’m bending the rules again! (Aren’t you expecting it by now?! 😉) I quickly found out that I haven’t actually read 10 books that have less than 2,000 reviews on Goodreads. Hahahaha WOW, I feel like this should have been super easy… instead I’m kinda ashamed??? Soooo, my TTT…

  • State of the ARC, 18-Feb-19

State of the ARC, created by Evelina @ Avalina’s Books, is a monthly meme where you share your ARC progress, challenges, wins, woes, and mishaps. You can also join the Goodreads group ARCs Anonymous!       Welcome to February’s State of the ARC! Last year, the only ARCs I had my hands on were the ‘Read Now’ selections on NetGalley. By the end of November, I started to go on a requesting spree across different platforms thinking I would simply be denied… and of course to my complete suprise and delight, a handful of approvals unexpectedly stormed through! Whoops!! While I’m super excited to have been approved, I’ve been stressing…

  • Tine’s for the Rest of Us

“Won’t You Be My Villaintine?”     Between Galentine’s and now Villaintine’s I’m finally on board this week! If you saw my TTT: Favorite Bookish OTPs post, you’ll recall my distain for Valentine’s Day. 😈  All of the alternative celebrations (there’s more, I just have hearteyes for my two faves) are like “Festivus for the rest of us” during this lovers’ season—and I’M HERE FOR IT!!! 🖤 Naturally, I’ve decided to do a bookish favorites mash-up list for Galentine’s and Villaintine’s. Here’s the run down of my favorite morally ambiguous villains / antiheroes / misunderstood heroes. (Yes, I’ve been asking myself the villain-hero question for years before I read Vicious…

We’re told that love is in the air this week. While I hate Valentine’s Day, I do adore a good love story. I like flowers on a Tuesday for no reason whatsoever, a kiss without strings attached, and an unconditional ‘I love you’. I’ll take the other 364 days of the year…

It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.     Welcome to this week’s Top 10 Tuesday: On-the-Fence New Releases! There’s over 100 books already on my 2019 New Releases Goodreads shelf, but I could only come up with 6 that I’m truly on the fence over. • Talk Nerdy To Me: Jan’19 Wrap Up

Happy Weekend & Welcome to February! I’m really happy with how much I accomplished last month, even with a slow reading start during the first week of the year. • January Book Haul

Welcome to my first ever ‘Book Haul’! I am an avid library patron, so I won’t ever have a tall stack of newly purchased books. I do however, dabble every once in a while! I believe you can be a reader, a blogger, and a reviewer without needing to own very many books, or even a proper bookshelf.
