50 Things That Make Me Happy Tag

Welcome to Tag Thursday! While I couldnโ€™t find the original post, I found out that this tag is popular across various blogging communities. (Whoa, you mean there are blogs beyond our bookish world?! ๐Ÿ˜‰) Since I am a book blogger, I considered making a list of only book-related happinesses, but decided to venture out and make a general list so you can get to know snippets of me irl! The list is in no particular order, but I decided to split it into categories for fun.

Thank you, Gin @ The Sassy Library Foxย for tagging me!! ๐Ÿ’•

Ever since I started audiobooks a few months ago, I love them too! And a Kindle Paperwhite sounds awesome, you can pretty much read wherever you want! I also love spending time with my sister and my mom! Great answers, Ashley ๐Ÿ™‚

Woohoo! I get so excited to share in audiobook enthusiasm!! ๐ŸŽง๐Ÿ’• I know thereโ€™s way more options than the Kindle but it works best for me on the backlight and ppi resolution. I always have my library with me between my phone for audio and my kindle for ebooks! And my actual library is awesome with Libby/Overdrive ๐Ÿค—

    • Ashley

Thank you!! You should do it! Itโ€™s a lot of funโ€”I thought it would be difficult to come up with enough but I ended up having to cut back! (Maybe one day Iโ€™ll do a part 2?!)

    • Ashley

Oh no!! Have you tried resetting it to factory? Also… under your online Amazon.com accountโ€”>content and devices, see if itโ€™s there? Maybe disconnect it if it is and then reset the kindle? If none of that letโ€™s you re-register then I would call, theyโ€™ve been really helpful in the past with any tech issues Iโ€™ve come across. I donโ€™t like reading on my phone or tablet so I completely understand!

I love this post and all your happy things!! Reading socks and blanket forts are amazing. And I am currently waiting for bookmail and am very excited!! ๐Ÿ˜Š
And who doesn’t love freshly baked cookies?!?! ๐Ÿ˜‚
    Great post!! ๐Ÿ’•

Thank you! Eeee I hope you love your bookmail! What will be arriving? …and oh man just talking about it, I think I need to bake some cookies now ๐Ÿ˜‹

I love this post so much Ashley!! Iโ€™ve just recently gotten in to audiobooks because Iโ€™ve been having trouble getting through physical books lately and I think they are BRILLIANT. Iโ€™ll definitely be listening to more soonโค๏ธ do you have any particular favorites youโ€™d recommend??

    • Ashley

That makes my heart just swell so much!! Iโ€™m so happy you enjoy audiobooks!!! I just got on scribd but have had Audible multiple times in the past, along with Libby/Overdrive through my library, so Iโ€™ve been considering writing up a post but havenโ€™t gotten to it yet! In the mean time, some of the listens I love off the top of my head are the Veronica Speedwell mysteries, The Reluctant Royals romance series, My Lady Jane (funniest audiobook!!!), The Poet X (so powerful), Since Youโ€™ve Been Gone, To All the Boys Iโ€™ve Loved Before, Harry Potter, The Millennium Trilogy, and anything pubโ€™d by Uncle Rick. I like narrators who use voice distinctions between characters more than โ€œreadersโ€. I typically donโ€™t like dual audiobooks where the fem/masc narrators flip from chapter to chapter as those take some getting used to. I havenโ€™t tried an all-cast yet but have heard The Illuminae Files audiobooks are amazing!

      • Brianna

Awww YES audiobooks are quickly becoming one of my favorite ways to read!! Theyโ€™re so nice. I signed up for Audible and just recently set up an Libby/Overdrive account (LOVE IT). And thank you so very much for all of these recommendations! Iโ€™m putting these all in the notes on my phone so I rememberโ˜บ๏ธ And I totally agree with you about the narrators! I havenโ€™t listened to many audiobooks yet, but I also find I like the ones who do different voices as opposed to just reading it. I canโ€™t wait to try out an all-cast one. This is such great information, Ashley, thank you! I appreciate it so much๐Ÿ’–
